My first project...

This is my first 'My Design Studio' project and it was so easy!! It's a card that took me about 10 minutes to design. For those who don't know what My Design Studio is, it is Stampin' Up!'s new digital paper-crafting software. You can create cards, photo albums, DVDs, calendars, etc. with Stampin' Up!'s artwork, colors, and accessories.

Stampin' Up! has templates that you can use or you can change elements on the templates to make the project your own. You can also start with a blank page and design whatever projects you can imagine. Once your project is complete you can print it off at home or get a high-quality product delivered to your door from a print facility.

I am so excited to play with My Digital Studio some more! Let me know if you have any questions about My Digital Studio or go to my website (http://www.jsassy.stampinup.net/) to purchase your own copy. Let the projects begin!

Help...

Every year my work has a United Way Campaign. For the second year, I have taken my Convention swaps, turned them into cards, sold them at work, then donated the money to the cause. Shortly after the campaign this year, a lady at work asked me to put together some Christmas ideas because she was having a Mother/Daughter over-nighter and wanted a fun activity. I created the following card and gift card holder for her. I know some of the supplies are retired, but I just used what I had on hand. Enjoy!

Stamp Sets: Sparkly & Bright
Classic Stampin' Pads: Real Red
Cardstock: River Rock (retired), Always Artichoke, Real Red & Very Vanilla Cardstock
Designer Series Paper: Dashing (retired)
Accessories: Key Tag Punch (retired), sponge dauber

Wasn't Planning On It...

I wasn't planning on posting anything for a while because I am working on my swaps for convention. But because I had a couple of events that I needed to make cards for, I decided to post what I made. The first card is the card I made for my dad for his birthday and Father's Day, which happened to fall on the same day this year. The second card was for the baby shower of a family friend. Enjoy!

Thank You In Circles

I am starting to do my swaps for Stampin' Up convention, so I wasn't planning on posting any more card ideas. But, I just had a birthday and thought I'd send thank you cards out to my friends and family. I'm in a bit of a creativity slump (which doesn't help with coming up with swaps) so I copied a layout from a card off of Stampers' Showcase (card on the right) by Mary Haugen. Thanks for the great idea! I decided at the last minute to try out a different layout and that is the card on the left. Enjoy!

Tonight I met with my group of fellow demonstrators at Swap-n-Talk and whipped this card together between work and meeting them for dinner and swaps. I have to apologize for all the different stamp sets used on this card, but I needed some background and a saying.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the dress to post on my blog but here are the colors: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Ruby Red and Cameo Coral. Hopefully I will be able to post a few more projects using these colors in the next day or two. If you want to share your projects using these colors post pictures on your blog and add a comment to this entry. Don't forget to include the link to your blog in the comment. Enjoy!

Jaron's Color Combination Creative Challenge #1

I have been a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator for 6-1/2 years and have loved every minute of it. I have a personal blog but thought it might be nice to have a blog dedicated to my creative side, which means stamping! To start my blog, I have decided to take a challenge.

In the past I have never done challenges, but I must be on a roll because I have been doing challenge after challenge this past month! The challenge I decided to start with was given by Jaron. Jaron is a very talented, enthusiastic and creative man that I have seen at every Stampin' Up Convention or Regionals that I have attended. I will miss him tremendously at convention this year! On his blog he presented a color combination challenge and I decided to take it. The colors he chose were Taken With Teal, Soft Sky and Old Olive. I definitely would never have put these colors together, but I must say they look beautiful together. Way to be inspired Jaron!
