My Digital Studio Contest Entries 2011

These were my entries for Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio contest for 2011:

I think a friend said my Seattle scrapbook page looked like an advertisement you'd find in a magazine. Not sure that is what I was going for...I just went real simple and highlighted some of the sights I saw on my "girls trip" with my mom.

November 2011 Calendar

October Club Projects

The first project uses the Spooky Bingo Bits set from the Idea Book & Catalog with the cellophane bags from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The cellophane bags are a great find, you get 50 of them for only $2.50. Here I have filled them with pixie sticks, a Halloween pencil and M&Ms.

The card uses Out on a Limb from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper in the Idea Book & Catalog. It is embellished with 1/8" taffeta ribbon in basic black and rhinestone jewels.

I copied the design of this card from a fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator. Of course, I made a few changes...color, embellishments, etc. Thanks Jessica Luther (Expressive Designs) for the great idea!!

2011-2012 Stamp Club

Hi everyone,

If you live in the Salt Lake City area and are interested, I will be starting my 2011-2012 Stamp Club in just a couple of weeks and I would love to have you join me!

We will meet every month starting in August and end next June, with the exception of December. At club you will need to spend at least $20 a month in Stampin' Up product (before shipping & tax). By joining my Club you will receive a free Idea Book & Catalog. We will make a couple of projects each month. Plus, you will also have the opportunity to be the hostess at least one of those months and that's a great way to get lots of free product!

Not a Convention Swap

This card was going to be one of my Stampin' Up Convention swaps, until I came up with a different one that I liked better. I used the new 2011-2013 In Colors (Calypso Coral, Indigo Island, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder), Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, and My Friend stamp set. It was a different way to display the new In Colors.

Convention 2011 Bag Tag

This year I decided to use My Digital Studio to create the convention bag tag I give everyone in my group. I used the new 2011-2013 In Colors: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder. I love how well these colors all go together.

July Calendar

June Club

I have had the Aviary stamp for quite a while, but never have used it. I finally got the chance to play. Both word sayings come from the Best Dad Ever stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog.

The colors in the Think of You card are Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, So Saffron (Daffodil Delight ink), and Pear Pizazz with Crumb Cake being the base. Don't you just love the little owl in the Thinking of You card?!


The colors used here in the Happy Birthday card is Poppy Parade and Basic Black. I love all the different bird cages that come with the Aviary stamp set.

June 2011 Background Calendar

I designed the palm tree out of punches and the surf boards are from the new Summer Splash brush stamp set that just came out. The numbers and the June are also from new digital downloads...Month by Month and Day by Day stamp brush sets. I'm ready for some sun, how about you?

Flowers & Father's Day

Here is the follow-up to my digital Father's Day post. This is the card I made with the Best Dad Ever stamp set found in the Summer Mini Catalog. The colors I used are River Rock, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso.

I love this next color combination: Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, So Saffron & Kraft. I also love the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch in the Summer Mini Catalog.

This is just a different view of the card, so you can see that I've raised the top layer of the flower to give the card a little dimension.

Flowers & Father's Day

April 2011 Calendar Background

Water Bottle Decor

In the church that I attend (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) the women have an organization called the Relief Society. The Relief Society Presidency, or the women running the organization, will often give each lady a small gift for their birthday. I designed these four different water bottle birthday "dress ups" for a friend of mine using My Digital Studio.

To assemble, simply cut out each individual label, fold two inches from the top and punch a whole in the top using the 1 1/4" circle punch. I then stapled an individual serving on Crystal Light to the top and placed a bow over the staple.

Feb 2011 Club Projects

This month I decided to take one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets to create the projects for Stamp Club. I used Punch Bunch. The colors I used in the projects are Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Tangerine Tango, and Melon Mambo and the size of the cards are 3X3. Because I love My Digital Studio, I decided to design a 8X8 scrapbook page of the projects. Enjoy!

January Club Projects

This month's projects focused on Valentine's Day.

The candy corn was found at Wal-Mart for $2.50 a tub.
Each tub filled a little over five jars.

The jars are spice jars from IKEA and they come four to a pack for $2.99.
Can't beat that!
