Take 2 Tuesday #1

I have decided that I'm going to try to be a little more consistent in creating projects and posting them on my blog.  So, I am starting Take 2 Tuesdays.  The plan is to post two projects each Tuesday using the same layout.  The projects might be cards, 3D items, scrapbook pages, etc.  I will try to rotate through traditional paper crafting and digital projects.  Today my two projects happen to be digital cards that I created using Stampin' Ups MDS2.  I hope you enjoy!

VERY Simple August Calendar

I can't believe that it is almost the middle of August!!  I realized this morning that I had not made my August background calendar yet.  So I quickly put together this simple calendar.  I created it using My Digital Studio (the original version).  I will use MDS2 (which is awesome!) for September's calendar.  I will also talk more about the new features in MDS2 in a post later this week.  So come on back, I'd enjoy having you stop by.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2012

I just got home from Stampin' Up convention.  I had so much fun!  Each year Stampin' Up has a theme song for convention.  This year's theme was "I am..." and they encouraged each of us to fill in the blank. Following is the video Stampin' Up put together for this years' theme song (it's pretty catchy):

Convention Swap Labels

Every year for Stampin' Ups convention, I make about 300 card fronts to swap with other demonstrators.  This year I decided to design the label I put on back of my swaps using My Digitial Studio.  Since My Digital Studio does not have a label option for designing, I decided to design my image on a 9 1/4" X 4" landscape postcard because I wanted a large canvas to work on.  I used the Spring Fever Kit (#129608 - $7.95).  This is what I designed:

Once I had the design I saved the card as a .jpg image.  I opened a label template in Microsoft Word and pasted the .jpg image into each individual label slot (I had to stretch the image a little to make it fit the entire label).  I was then able to print off labels.
