Christmas Neighbor Gift Tags

I created these tags to go with my neighbor gifts this year. The saying says, "Wishing you joy beyond measure this holiday season!" I will be putting it with a set of measuring cups and a bag of cookies. I'll try to add a picture later.
Enjoy!

I like this card a little bit more each time I look at it. It's growing on me. I really like the "non-traditional" Christmas colors.

Convention No Shows

The following are cards that I came up with when deciding what to do for convention swaps this year. They're okay...simple. A lot less work than the cards I did decide to swap. I hope you enjoy them anyway.

Convention Swap #3 & #4

This year at Stampin' Up's convention, they had a Flower Power Party on the first day. They had all kinds of activities going on and everyone dressed up like hippies. I wanted a card to swap at the party and this is what I came up with...

Stamp Sets: Rough Type Alphabet (118659 - wood, 120072 - clear),
Wonderful Favorites (115114)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (101650), Early Espresso (119686), Poppy Parade (119793),
Daffodil Delight (119683), Peach Parfait (119794)
Inks: Early Espresso (119670)
Accessories: Two-Step Owl Punch (118074), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch (119275),
Ity Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309)
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents (119246)

I still wanted a few more cards to swap at convention, so I did this one. It's the same layout as the Groovy Owl punch card, but still has a different look. You can't tell from the picture, but each flower on the cake has a itty-bitty half pearl in the center. Enjoy!

Stamp Sets: Blissful Bride (118527 - wood, 120036 - clear)
Cardstock: Whisper White (100730), Blushing Bride (119796),
Soft Suede (115318), Certainly Celery (105125)
Designer Series Paper: In Color (117158)
Ink: Soft Suede (115657)
Accessories: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch (119275),
Stampin Dimensionals (104430), Basic Pearl Jewel Accents (119247)

Stampin' Up! Convention 2010

Each year during July or August, Stampin' Up holds convention. I would stay a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator forever just so I could go to convention each year. This year's theme is Share What You Love. So that is what I'm doing, I'm sharing my love of Stampin' Up Convention! Some of my favorite things about convention(in no particular order)are:

1. Free stamps
2. Spending time with friends
3. Making projects
4. Swaps (trading ideas with other demonstrators)
5. New ideas shared by presenters
6. Memento Mall
7. The entertainment (this year a local country group - Charley Jenkins!)

This week I will be posting my 2010 Convention Swaps and a few cards that did not make it to convention this year, because in my mind, they just weren't good enough. I'll be posting one card each day. I'll be posting the four cards that made it to convention and three that did not, so check back daily to see all of them.

Here's my desktop background for June. Enjoy!

May 2010 Desktop Background

I have started creating desktop backgrounds for my computer using Stampin' Ups! My Digital Studio. My Digital Studio is a wonderful (and easy!) digital scrapbooking program that I have had so much fun creating desktop backgrounds with. The blank space at the bottom of the image is where I usually move my icons to so I can see them clearly on my computer screen. Enjoy!

Color Renovation #2

Today's card are using the five new core colors in the new Idea Book & Catalog available in July. The colors are: Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Early Espresso. I love them and can't wait to get my hands on the ink, markers and accessories! Enjoy!

As a bonus I've added different color combinations of the birthday card. This card is really simple, but showcases a lot of Stampin' Ups! beautiful colors and demonstrates how well they coordinate with each other.

Color Renovation

Stampin' Up! announced to demonstrators yesterday that they are making a renovation to their color families. I am so excited for this change - not only is Stampin' Up! updating their color palate, but they are also bringing back some of my favorite retired In Colors (Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette to name a few). I can't wait to start using the new color combinations that we will have access to in July with the coming of the new Idea Book & Catalog.

I decided tonight to make a card using some colors that will be leaving at the end of June and a stamp set that will be in the new catalog.

During the month of April, Stampin' Up! is running a Two-Step Into Spring Promotion. You can purchase this beautiful two-step stamping set - Awash With Flowers - for $39.95 (wood mount) or $27.95 (clear mount). It will be a nice stamp set to use throughout spring and summer. You can go to my website (jsassy.stampinup.net) for more details. Just click on the promotions tab.

Another offer that Stampin' Up has is from April 1-May 31, join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator and receive two FREE technique DVDs. You may also find details on this offer on my website under Promotions. Please let me know if you have any questions about being a demonstrator or if you would like to join.

Thanks for stopping by!

Belated Easter

One by Me, One by Her

Whenever I get my stamps out around my nieces and nephews, they want to stamp with me. Such was the case yesterday. I was preparing my projects for Club and working on a Valentine's Day card. My niece, of course, wanted to make a card. Well, she actually wanted to make six cards. I'm assuming one for each grandma and grandpa, plus one for dad and one for mom. So we set out making a card. I talked her through it a bit, but she did everything herself. She stamped, cut, glue, etc. She even designed it! I thought her card was so cute that I have decided to post it here with the card I designed. Enjoy!

(Oh, by the way...after making just one card, she said "I think I'm going to make just one card." I don't think she realized all the work that was going to go into just one card!)

It's been forever...

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything. I have a bunch of Christmas cards I wanted to post but never got around to it. I'll post them if anyone is interested, just leave a comment to let me know.

The following cards were made using My Digital Studio. I just downloaded the Sweet Pea Designer Kit and textured cardstock so I thought I'd whip up a couple of cards to try them out. Enjoy!
